Due to this building's complicated history, it holds a wide variety of ghosts. The hotel has been an indoor swimming pool, a boxing stadium, a KKK meeting place and a church. When the church was being transformed into a hotel, construction workers noted that their tools would disappear and appear in strange locations. There were also splashing sounds coming from within the walls and wet footprints. It is believed the ghosts six individuals who drowned in the pool, reside in the hotel. Other construction workers are certain they saw an apparition clothed in the robes of a KKK member.

We have been in room 1120 for five days and nothing significant has happened that couldn't be debunked. The only thing of significance is how amazing the staff is and how accommodating they are. I did find a couple of artifacts that even the oldest member wasn't sure about and there were a couple things in the stairwell but I can explain them away. THIS IS A BEATUIFUL HOTEL. The staff is amazing and they even signed a card for me and my husband, so... I'd say just respect the areas you're not supposed to be in, if you have a casual experience remember it's an old and beautiful building with a lot of history, stay in room 1120 and don't try and scare your partner (like I did) but other then that... I'd say not really haunted.

That's it. We stayed there many times, every year we (family) would visit Seattle. We stayed at the Mayflower almost every time. Nothing paranormal ever happened. It is just a beautiful historic hotel with excellent service and amenities. The biggest draw for our family was the location. It's right in the heart of the city. We could walk to Public Market and Waterfront. We could hop on monorail to Seattle Center and Space Needle. Now there is light rail access too.
