According to legend, a former elevator operator was murdered in this historical building. The Bellingham Herald building is currently the headquarter of the town newspaper and home to this disgruntled ghost. The entire building is believed to be haunted and oftentimes the elevator operates on its own. Employees of the building have expressed an uncomfortable feeling of being watched.
