Open every October and located on the Key Peninsula in Pierce County, The Haunted Forest at Grand Farms is an all outdoor haunted attraction that features close to mile long trail through the woods guarded by a 12’ tall by 14’ gate that only opens for the worthy.
This year promise a very unique haunt experience. If you are a fan of medieval horror fantasies like Game of Thrones, Dungeons and Dragons, and Lord of the Rings, then imagine entering a world of necromancers, dragons, and evil minions of a terrible Queen. She has cast a dark spell on the forest and you will have to brave them on your quest through the haunted forest!
If the Forest finds worthy enough souls to enter its trail, they will dodge zombies, giant spiders, and witches until they find themselves in the realm of the Spirit Walker - that is if they make it past the playground of nightmares, where deranged jesters make playthings out of the souls of their victims. Eventually, through the darkness of night, our travelers end up at the séance fire to warm up if they are brave enough - and then prepare to face a frenzy evil minions and dark enchantments.
Be careful though - one mis-step and you will awaken the dragon and be consumed by his fiery breath!
Mark Dodson, owner and creator, says “having built this from my imagination to a complete haunt experience using mostly materials from the property – I hand crafted the entrance gate entirely from logs off the property for example – it’s my goal to give people a good scare with a lot of variety at a reasonable price while ending in a social atmosphere keeping with the theme of The Haunted Forest."
We are having a Costume Ball
It’s $25 for ages 18 and over between 8p-10p
We will have a simulated battle every 30 minutes
They will be able to go through the entire haunt one extra time
We will have snacks and non alcoholic beverages
This is for families with small children or people who do NOT want the full scare.
Some locations may have last minute updates due to changing circumstances. Please visit the attraction's website and/or social media before going to double-check that they are open. |

There’s a lot to see and the actors are great, just at times felt rushed while trying to figure out where to go. Some of the actors were fantastic with interaction safely.

Email Verified Not your typical jump scare place!
If you are looking for jump scares every 2 seconds, you'll be disappointed. This place plays psychological games with you. Taking you from light into almost pitch black darkness, in the middle of the woods! Your mind plays as many, or more, tricks on you than the actors. The actora are widely spaced at times which really lets the fear of darkness set in! .75 miles or so through this setting will put anyone's nerves on edge. The scenery at times is dark, but such open scenes would have to be flooded with light to see all the details and detract from the feel. They play with your night vision, allowing your eyes to adjust, then taking it away with fire effects, only to leave you wondering where to go next, even though following the light pools always keeps you on trail. Can't wait to go back and see next year!

Id go again during the day...Hiked the trail at Kp Farm Tour and was terrified during the daytime! It smelled like dead animals and sure enough there was a dead coyote by the riverwalk! Freaked me out!
